We had an overwhelming amount of enthusiasm for the coming BARC series at the Skippers conference but we seem to have a shortage of boats signed up for the race.
BARC races require there own registration you are not automatically registered for them. This is very important as we have to decide the division splits ahead of time.
My self and John Peterson (Cinco) are available on the dock or at the Rose and Crown to take your money for the races. These races individually paid for to each club. A fee of $15 for each race is required. This pays for the trophies and the party at the end of the series.

Well that was a fabulous day to be on the water.
Thank you to every one that was happy with the course. We had fun on the committee boat as well.
Kevin on my crew took some great shots of all of you out on the water and they can be found here.

one thing I want all of you to do is to seriously look at your sail trim. Only 2-3 boats had good sail trim. Some boats had Main sails trimmed past the center line of the boat and actually forced to weather. some boats had Genoa cars in the wrong spots. Many boats had people on the bow after the start. But what a day to be out on the water
The race times have been handed to Murray and we should see them by Monday.

At long last, the new PRYC Sailing Instructions (SI's) and Race Committee Instructions (CI's) are available. It is highly recommended that all PRYC race participants review and print copies of the SI's to keep on board your boat for future reference. Please review the CI's prior to being race committee and take a copy with you. There will also be a printed copy in the Race Committee binder at E-Dock in case you forget.
Please note that these SI's apply to all PRYC hosted events including the Winter series, Fall series and Point Roberts Classic. Refer to the BARC Sailing Instructions for the BARC long distance races. |
