October 3 is the first race day of the 2009 fall series, and to celebrate, there will be beer and a hot dog BBQ on E-dock following the race. If you haven't registered yet, there is still time to do so.
For the first time in many years, it looks like there will be enough boats to have 3 divisions:

There will be a captains meeting at the top of E-dock at 8:30. We will be doing a reverse start this year with Div 3 first, then Div 2 and last Div 1 starts. It will be a rolling starts. (ex: Div 3s start will be Div 2s 5 minutes and so on). |

It's 10 days to go to the 2009 Classic and we've got 7 boats officially registered. Please let us know if you are planning to enter this event. New boats are always welcome! A bottle of rum may be at stake... Register online today! We are also looking for a volunteer to be committee boat for the Saturday. Labour Day Weekend Sailing Rally |

PRYC sailors! You are invited to take part in our Labour Day weekend cruisers Rally. The Rally is arranged so you can leave any time as long as you pass East point prior to Sat at 2PM. The Rally will be done in two stages. The trip down to Reid Harbour and the return trip to home port. A bottle of Rum will be awarded to the winner of each leg. We have allowances for boats flying spinnakers and for boats towing dinghies. The full rally sailing instructions and entry form are available here. Point Roberts Classic and Seafood Festival 2009 |

The Point Roberts Classic Regatta will be held on September 19 - 20 this year. Last year there were 15 boats competing in this event, and this year will be even bigger! Saturday Sep 19 will be a distance race, followed by a Seafood Festival and music by the Pato Banton reggae band. Sunday Sep 20 will have 2 short races, followed by an awards ceremony. Entry fee for the regatta is $30 per boat, except PRYC members in good standing. Guest moorage is available. Please let us know the size of your boat if you require moorage. The sailing instructions are posted on the website. The Seafood festival is $10 per person. Online registration is now open! |
